What is WRONG with people?!

True, but funny story...

Yesterday, I went to Macy's to buy a lazy susan for our kitchen table.

When I asked the Macy's guy if they carried them, evidently, he thought I was referring to this:

He then replied, "No, but we sell hammocks."

243rd Day of Life. 1st Day As a Talker

Owen said his 1st word today. Daddy's ears heard "Dada", but I'm sure if you talked to his bottle, his bottle would have heard "baba" :) Nonetheless, here's video of his 1st word. You be the judge!

Crazy-Shorts-Wearing-Guy-Day 2008

I like to refer to the first nice day of spring as "Crazy-Shorts-Wearing-Guy-Day". Without fail, even though the actual temperature is not that much warmer than a shitty refrigerator, guys all around the city feel the need to bust open their shorts drawer on throw on their favorite shorts from the previous summer. Btw, I'm not criticizing these people, because I happen to be one of them!
This past weekend definitely qualified as "C-S-W-G-D". Because it was in the 60s in Chicago, Dawn and I decided to take the kids to downtown Naperville for a leisurely walk and shopping. Having picked up a few bags along they way, I thought it would be best if I take the bags to the car before we continued. So that's what I did. Along the way, I saw a Jeep, windows down, music blaring, with a shirtless kid driving. (Note: Shirtlss-Driving-Day: A slight variation of C-S-W-G-D)
Ahhh, spring is FINALLY here! :)
"C-S-W-G-D" is also marked with seeing your neighbors, whom you haven't seen since the previous Thanksgiving. They can usually be seen cleaning out their garages, washing their cars, or pushing their kids in strollers. At least that's what I experienced this weekend.
Here are some of my pictures from C-S-W-G-D 2008:
